ANNA THORUNN is a product designer known for her sculptural yet functional approach to everyday objects. With a refined aesthetic and deep attention to form, her work transforms simple ideas into lasting design pieces.

“As a child, I dreamed of becoming a cowboy, then a fighter pilot, and later a world-famous ballet dancer. Somehow, those dreams evolved — and today I feel I am living the right one.

Objects of all sizes and shapes captivate me. I’m drawn to the unusual and imperfect, and the moment a rough sketch becomes a finished object still feels magical. From morning to night, my mind is constantly reshaping what I see and experience.”

After graduating in product design in 2007, Anna Þórunn Hauksdóttir founded her label ANNA THORUNN, creating a personal collection of vessels, lamps, textiles, ceramics, glassware, and collectible objects. Each piece reflects her instinct for storytelling through form — where memory, material, and imagination meet.
